The Geico 500 by Talladega Superspeedway

NASCAR racing continues this Sunday, June 21st with the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Fans will be able to follow the race live from FOX or download the app RACE CENTER from the App Store or Google Play. RACE CENTER will provide live scores, video highlights, race commentary, and more.

Storm Tight Windows is very excited to see Corey LaJoie’s performance this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. Corey had set a new PR (p29) in his brand-new Storm Tight Ford Mustang last weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway Dixie Vodka 400 Race. Fans are looking forward to seeing him move up the ranks!

Geico 500 will be the first superspeedway event since May this year. Alabama’s speedway is famous for having the largest oval on the NASCAR circuit with a whopping 33 degrees of banking in the turns and 16.5 degrees on the tri-oval. Fans should expect lots of drafting action on every turn!

NASCAR is gradually introducing fans to selected events including this weekend’s Geico 500. Race organizers have decided that only a limited number (5,000) of fans will be allowed in the front stretch seating plus a few (44) outside camping spots. This is a small yet meaningful step into the future of live sports events. Hopefully, fans will be able to return to NASCAR races sometime soon.

NASCAR Bans The Confederate Flag From All Of Their Events And Property

Fans already heard the news. NASCAR has prohibited the display of the confederate flag from all their events and properties in support of diversity and inclusivity in their sport. NASCAR has made it clear that its mission is to bring people together while providing a welcoming and inclusive environment.

“The presence of the confederate flag at NASCAR events runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors, and our industry. Bringing people together around a love for racing and the community that it creates is what makes our fans and sport special. The display of the confederate flag will be prohibited from all NASCAR events and properties.” NASCAR

As the official sponsor of the Storm Tight Windows #32 NASCAR and Corey La Joie, we support NASCAR’s efforts to stop racism inside and outside of the sport. Additionally, we look forward to seeing the day fans are allowed back to their races. In the meantime, we will continue to support our community and NASCAR fans the best way we can. We encourage the community and fans to do the same.
